Yesterday, a massive fire broke out on the top floor of a Braampark office building.
Although no one was seriously injured and everyone managed to escape, Jozi’s city skyline was covered in a “cloud of grey smoke,” reports City Press.
Kind of similar to what Durban experienced just a few weeks ago.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, but EWN interviewed Zanele, a woman who works in the office park, and she gave her account of what happened.
It’s the best bout of news reporting you will see all week:

She just had to finish with, “Zanele, Eye Witness News, Johannesburg”, and she would be giving ANN7 reporters a run for their money.
Johannesburg Metro Police Department spokesperson Wayne Minnaar told City Press that:
The entire fifth floor was completely engulfed in the flames, and as we speak there are still fire fighters trying to completely put out the fire.
That was yesterday, however, and this is what the scene he was referring to looked like:

Hectic, right?
The roof, the roof.
