When last did you even bat an eyelid at how much a meal costs at a Cape Town restaurant?
If you have just found yourself in the Mother City, it was probably a more recent reaction, but for the most part, us Capetonians are pretty used to high prices.
But on the plus side, it can sometimes be excused because the food is pretty delicious.
Since April 2016, InsideGuide has listed 76 restaurants that have opened in Cape Town and surrounds. From ice cream to burgers, and every.single.thing in between, there’s a load of options that will probably break the bank if you attempt to try them all.
I mean, think about it – according to Socialite.Cape Town, it costs, on average, around R500 for two people to eat out. If you had gone to each restaurant on InsideGuide’s list along with your bae, you would have spent, on average, R38 000 to date.
A little bit much, no? Well, we found a way to take at least 20% off that amount.
Socialite is a membership card that gives you 20% – 25% discount at various restaurants, spas and accommodation around Cape Town for up to four people. So on a R500 bill, you’re saving R125 and, due to Socialite’s latest offering, you will be able to pay off the membership in one sitting.
You see, it’s Socialite’s birthday (Happy Days!), and to celebrate are offering socialite memberships for a mere R99, down from R295.
I mean, you would be crazy not to get involved, especially if you enjoy the finer things in life. You can visit them here and check it out.
But we understand you might be a bit weary – and so does Socialite – so they are offering you the chance to get a once-off Socialite voucher valid for a month:
For reals, so here’s what you need to do:
Pop over HERE and enter your details. You will then get an email back, which contains a Socialite voucher. It will also have a link to all the potential restaurants at which you can flex your once-off 25%-discount power.
Then, the rest is easy. You just:
And that’s how you give back – basically, it’s everyone’s birthday.
