Have you heard of Refi Sings?
Neither – but the whole of Coachella has.
At the weekend, Refi Sings got her chance to shine, becoming the youngest South African artist to perform at the music festival in California. Afro and traditional Zulu bead necklace and earrings included. ❤️
A singer-songwriter, the Durbanite performed on the festival’s opening night with “German composer and record producer Hans Zimmer and Grammy-winning producer Lebohang “Lebo M” Morake,” reports HuffPostSA.
It all makes sense now. You see, Lebo M is her father, who is most famous for arranging and performing music for The Lion King movies and stage performances.
He took to Twitter to congratulate his daughter:
Adorable.
The performance at Coachella marks the beginning of a five-month tour for Refi across Europe with Zimmer and her father.
If you have yet to hear her, listen below. Defs channelling a little bit of that Rihanna swag.
We proud of you, girl.
