LISTEN: TLC Dropped A New Track (Feat. Snoop Dogg)

TLC, RnB sweethearts of the 90s, just announced the release date of their final album and dropped their first single off it.

Don’t go chasing waterfalls,

Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to…

Indeed, the lyrics to one of our all-time favourite R&B tracks, released back in ’94 by TLC, has seen us through some tough times.

Now, TLC has announced the release date of their final album, 30 June, after pulling off a successful crowdfunding campaign. Along with the announcement, the first single, ‘Way Back’ is as gloriously 90s as their best selling album, CrazySexyLove.

Featuring Snoop Dogg, remaining members T-Boz and Chilli sing about “kickin’ it with friends and James Brown and Michael Jackson records,” explains NPR.

The girls also announced that this is the first album TLC has released that doesn’t have any vocals from deceased member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.

In her honour, here’s a little throwback which includes Left Eye’s self-written rap verse:

Babe.
