It’s more Dave Chappelle’s sketch, but it just wouldn’t pop without Charlie Murphy.
The 57-year-old comedian passed away from leukaemia last night in New York, and the BBC had this to say:
…the Murphy family said their “hearts are heavy with the loss today of our son, brother, father, uncle and friend Charlie”.
“Charlie filled our family with love and laughter and there won’t be a day that goes by that his presence will not be missed. Thank you for the outpouring of condolences and prayers,” the statement said.
We should thank Charlie for bringing this story to light, because after all these years it’s still a real gem:
