In every province and every city, people are taking a stand against awful governance.
Although there is ultimately no knowing what effect today will have, South Africans were awake early this morning to make their voices heard.
The set time for kickoff was generally 10AM, but messages containing images of signs, blockades and protesters started doing the rounds a little before 9AM.
