There’s plenty going on around South Africa today with regards protest action, but we shouldn’t forget that we are also honouring the legacy of Ahmed Kathrada.

St George’s Cathedral sees a special memorial service being held, with anti-Zuma protesters gathering in the streets outside, and outside of Parliament, to show their disdain for our sitting president.

We feel you guys, we really do.

Inside the Cathedral, Pravin Gordhan is set to deliver the keynote speech at 3PM. Here’s hoping he does the legacy of Uncle Kathy justice, and lands a few body blows on Number One while he’s at it.

It looks like he might be appearing a little later, but settle in and hear those before him laying down the law until then.
