That’s the brilliance and beauty of Heath Ledger.
Ledger passed away back in 2008, nine years ago yesterday, April 4. I remember exactly where I was as the news came in and never before had I felt so sad about an actor, someone I hardly knew personally, passing.
I even shed a tear.
I thought about the roles he had played – especially in Candy and A Knight’s Tale – and was heartbroken at the loss of such a brilliant talent.
Now, a trailer has arrived on the subject of his life. This, from Oyster Mag:
I Am Heath Ledger, directed by Derik Murray, features interviews with his friends and fam, Ang Lee, Naomi Watts, Ben Mendelsohn, Emile Hirsch and his sister Kate. The trailer shows some home movie footage as well as moments of great performance.
Premiering at Tribeca Film Festival on April 23, the movie is set for theatrical release May 7. Check it:
