It would be fair to say that in a long and storied history of being hated by the general public, Zuma and his puppet masters have never been less popular.
This week will be filled with marches, hashtags and people wearing black (that will tip the scales, guys), but it looks like the Guptas are worried about actual violence.
That’s apparent from the fact that private security has been deployed to Saxonwold, everyone’s favourite watering hole / the Gupta residence, as well as an armoured vehicle within the property itself.
This from Huff Post SA:
A security guard outside the compound who requested to remain anonymous says additional private security was deployed at 18h00 on Saturday evening and have been stationed around the perimeter throughout the night. It is currently unclear whether the vehicle stationed on the property is a military vehicle or owned by another party.
Gary Naidoo, Deputy Managing Director of Sahara Computers, told The Huffington Post SA there has been “no change from regular security” and denied the presence of an armoured vehicle altogether.
Well Gary, how do explain this?
That doesn’t look like the kind of vehicle you take for a weekend shimmy through the suburbs.
And then these guys cruising the perimeter:
I think we can safely say that Gary and his bosses are feeling the heat.
Let’s turn it up another notch, South Africa.
