I imagine that Julian Assange finds it rather difficult to meet women, given that he has been holed up in London’s Ecuadorian Embassy for the best part of five years.
He may have done pretty alright, though, with rumours now circulating that he is dating 49-year-old Pamela Anderson.
That has a lot to do with her recent blog post that waxed lyrical about the WikiLeaks founder, with this below from the Daily Mail:
She wrote: ‘My relationship with Julian – it’s no secret. He is one of my favourite people and he might be the most famous, most politicised refugee of our time.
‘Famous for being persecuted is not a position of power but a position of vulnerability. I am concerned.
‘Julian is a human being who is extremely empathetic and cares deeply about the world. And because of his work he has made some powerful enemies in a few countries, America especially, by exposing them.’
She added: ‘Julian is trying to free the world by educating it. It is a romantic struggle. I love him for this.’
It turns out the two have been friends (or more) for a while now:
Anderson and Assange, who fears he will be extradited to the US for questioning over the activities of whistle-blowing site WikiLeaks if he leaves the building, met through fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood…
In February Anderson was seen bringing vegan cheeseburgers from the Mildreds chain to Assange. She was first spotted at his residence in September 2014…
On November 13, Anderson was spotted bringing a tray of goodies into the Embassy as well.
Less than a month before that on October 15, she saw him again. This time, she brought him food from Pret A Manger.
It’s at this point that a complete lack of caring sees me draw this post to a close.
