It’s obvious that Cristiano is someone who takes pride in his appearance.
There’s the fact that he looks like he does above, and then there are about a thousand other examples.
How about this from Business Insider – Cristiano Ronaldo has a hair stylist visit a wax museum once a month to make sure the hair on his wax statue is perfect.
Sure, he is just a touch vain.
It must have been a pretty special day when he found out that Portugal’s Aeroporto da Madeira, now known as Cristiano Ronaldo Airport, was erecting a bronze statue in his honour.
He swung past yesterday for the unveiling, but I imagine he was less than impressed with what he saw.
Are you ready? You sure? Right, the classic side-by-side then:
Oh.
Oh dear.
Of course Twitter had no chill:
Ronaldo himself tweeted about how proud he was, but the statue was noticeably absent:
Oh well, I suppose it’s the thought that counts.
Whether or not you’re a Ronaldo fan (I’m more of a Messi person), you really should watch the brilliant Ronaldo documentary that came out last year.
His life might look all glitz and glamour, but there’s plenty behind the scenes that goes by unnoticed.
