We know that you can land some pretty impressive property in and around Cape Town for R35 million (small change), but what does a similar price tag get you if you’re keen on snapping up a penthouse in a prime retail area like Melrose Arch?
I’m pretty underwhelmed, to be honest, although you do get four bedrooms and some other lekker perks.

The apartment has its own private elevator access, which takes its residents right down to the heart of the open-air retail district, which features luxury shops, pavement cafes and fine dining.
Other features of the property include a sauna, double volume living areas, fully fitted cinema equipment, and a braai room and a sun deck.
Maybe it’s just the pictures that don’t really do it justice?
It’s nice, sure, but I remain underwhelmed.
