While the average person spends a decent amount of time on the toilet during their lifetime, no one ever gives much thought to how much water the system uses – basically between seven and 13 litres per flush, depending on the size of your cistern.
But 13 litres? That just doesn’t cut it in the Cape’s current water crisis, so what can you do?
