Fashion is a fluid beast, and what works this month might be frowned upon just a few further down the line.
One thing we do know, however, is that there are larger changes taking place that bode well for the future of the industry.
If we’re talking shirts, and I assume that’s why you’re here, we need to talk about the one trend that’s dominating this year.
We’ll defer to WhoWhatWear here:
Among the fashion crowd, one T-shirt trend, in particular, has reigned supreme…graphic tees. Every brand, from fast fashion to designer, is on board and women are snapping them up to wear tucked into their skirts and high-waisted jeans or layered over a dress.
But it’s not just the design that consumers are paying attention to, and it’s here that one sees the real shifts happening. As more producers and manufacturers take notice, so will the movement gather steam.
This from ShirtDesign perfectly sums it up:
Today’s consumers are ever more value-conscious, interactive, multicultural, health-driven, socially responsible and always connected. Leading the path for 2017 print trends reflect the importance of consumer consciousness, mindfulness, travel experiences, health, multiculturalism and technology. We are beginning to see a move back towards more visually comprehensive and impactful design trends.
Thankfully we are seeing local brands fuse both the latest trends with an increased focus on consumer consciousness and mindfulness, and no one does that better than Magents.
With a little digging around we found these tees, which embody the message of celebrating the artistry of our people and igniting the warrior within:
Like we said, we’re seeing women around the world embrace the tee and here at home it’s no different.
I see the cool cats from S&N DJs are already on it, too:
Fierce.
Props to all those local brands doing things their own way, and a shout out to Magents and others who are engaging with consumers about what they really want.
The more we as consumers demand in terms of social consciousness and awareness, the more scope we provide for brands to step up to the plate.
Oh, and I’ll have me some of those shirts if you don’t mind – I have a feeling they’ll be in style for quite some time to come.
