We have hardly come grips with the iPhone 7, yet rumours for Apple’s next iPhone generation are starting to appear, because, well, everyone is obsessed with the future.
As with previous rumours suggesting that Apple’s new focus will be on augmented reality, research notes distributed to clients by Cowen and Company on Wednesday suggest that the next iPhone will also include “some form of facial/gesture recognition” explains Business Insider.
Expected to launch in September, the notes expand on the expectations for the iPhone generation:
Other features appear to include some form of facial/gesture recognition supported by a new laser sensor and an infrared sensor mounted near the front-facing camera and, as expected, should also finally include wireless charging.
A laser sensor?
Not only is the next iPhone expected to be a ground-breaking release for Apple, but the acquisition of Primesense, an infrared sensor company, back in 2013, might suggest that the time has finally come for Apple to add a new kind of sensor to its repertoire.
How exciting? We know – but that’s not all. The notes also detailed a few other features we can expect:
How excited are you? Probably not excited as the dudes from Digicape, who are the official suppliers of Apple products in South Africa. Boom.
