One of the foremost ballet companies in the world, when New York City Ballet (NYCB) makes a move, the rest of the industry watches with a careful eye.
So when they decided to team up with PUMA last year, a brand that is renowned for fusing performance with culture and fashion, many were taken aback, yet optimistic at the forward-thinking collaboration the two had decided on.
And it worked.
Now the two are releasing yet another collab, in an effort to empower and inspire women to be themselves and go for what they want.
Called the Swan Pack, it was launched at the Lincoln Centre. NYCB dancers Mimi Staker and Olivia Boisson brought the collection to flight, each telling a story of bravery and confidence through mini ballet classes.
Of course, a performance of Swan Lake was included in the evening.
Adding to last year’s collection of leggings, t-shirts and sweatshirts, the Swan Pack collection delves into a wide variety of shoes (as well as a bodysuit and a cape), and is set to be launched here in South Africa on 15 February.
Just look at the Basket Hearts with the ribbon – so lush!
Available at PUMA stores and selected retailers nationwide, the rest of the collection is pretty sweet and includes key items such as the Explosive Bodysuit, PUMA Fierce Strap Swan, Pulse IGNITE XT, Swan Cape and the B.O.G Sock Swan:
Now that’s one way to make a ballet dancer’s day.
