It was back in 1899 when Emma Morano, the oldest person in the world, was born.
Turning 117 on the 29 November, Emma has stunned many with her longevity, wondering what it is she has done to live out such a long life.
Hailing from Verbania, Italy, Emma spoke to Agence France-Presse in her home, revealing what she eats on a typical day.
I eat two eggs a day and that’s it. I eat cookies.
For two decades, Emma has eaten two raw eggs every day after a doctor told her it would help her anaemia.
If you’re after a visual of Emma doing just that check out THIS YouTube video – good times.
Although I could not survive on only eating two raw eggs daily, I am just happy there’s someone out there who can give solid advice on how to eat well while I am still in my twenties.
But she has credited more life choices to her long life.
According to Huffington Post:
Other than that, the oldest woman says she’s lived a long life thanks to not being “dominated” by anyone and to staying single since she divorced in her late 30s.
Each to their own, I guess.
