Stephen Baldwin starred in Threesome and The Usual Suspects. Nowadays he is a Donald Trump supporter. Which makes things fairly awkward when his brother, Alec, is mocking Trump on TV. Turns out he mocked Stephen as well.
Stephen Baldwin confirmed his support for Donald Trump back in July, explaining to Hollywood Reporter:
Stephen Baldwin is throwing all of his support behind Donald Trump, his former Celebrity Apprentice boss, at the Republican National Convention.
“I’m here because I think he’s the right guy at this time, more so for anything else because he’s not a politician,” Baldwin tells THR, adding that he must be “glutton for punishment” as he was fired off Apprentice, which he appeared on in 2008 and 2013.
We totally missed that little fact, and didn’t consider it when Alec kicked off his now famous Donald Trump SNL impressions. You can see those on 2oceansvibe here and here.
The Sun details:
But in the show’s third and final “presidential debate” on Saturday, Democrat Baldwin mocked his brother Stephen – also an actor – who is a vocal supporter of Donald Trump.
“Chris she can brag about her resume, but I’m the one that’s got all the heavy hitters supporting me. I mean, I’ve got the cream of the crop. I’ve got Sarah Palin, I’ve got Chachi,” Alec boasted to Tom Hanks as moderator Chris Wallace – referencing Trump supporter Scott Baio’s character from ‘Happy Days’.
He then added: “And get this – I’ve even got the best Baldwin brother, Stephen Baldwin.”
But Stephen’s having none of it, and was happy to go on camera:
Whooooooah!!!
Clearly they didn’t spend Braai Day together..
While we’re here we might as well relive the Usual Suspects lineup scene.
Classic cinema, right there.
