Once again, Saturday Night Live has delivered us a third, and final, parody of the USA’s presidential debate – but this time, with the help of Tom Hanks.
The opening sketch, it began with Trump [Alec Baldwin] and Clinton [Kate McKinnon] once again go up against each other, playing on the main events from the IRL debate that happened just days before.
Think “nasty woman” and “bad hombre” being hurtled out more than once by Trump, as well as a stumble through an incoherent description of the situation in the Middle East and election result denial.
Later on, Tom Hanks appeared once more in a recurring SNL sketch called “Black Jeopardy,” and plays a character who finds common ground with attendees even though he is a white Trump supporter:
Social commentary magic.
