Incidences of bullying are extremely common, but it’s not often they are filmed.
So when a video of a Werda School pupil in Durban beating up another pupil started doing the rounds on social media, the school was able to effectively punish the bully.
Governing body chairperson Gerhard Botha said of the situation:
It is with this in mind that we have already initiated an internal disciplinary process against the alleged offenders.
Although not a lot of information was provided on the who the boys are and what the situation was (sounds interesting, to be honest), the video shows the victim in school uniform approached by a taller pupil:
According to News24, the dialogue goes a little something like this:
“Let me go. I don’t want any trouble,” the victim cries.
Instead the bully replies: “You don’t want any trouble? Then why the f*ck did you snitch on me?”
He pulls him from the ground, shoves him back down and kicks him in the back.
While the pupil lies on his back with his hands up, the bully gives him a stern warning.
“It is your last warning, next time I will put you in f*cking hospital, you understand me?”
But seriously, I would love to know what they were talking about. Seem like quite a messy situation.
