When it comes to cars there are few more impressive collections in the world than that of Jay Leno’s, the most pronounced chin ever to grace show business.
Since his first tinker with a 1934 Ford pickup truck at the age of 14, Leno has been smitten. His garage is a decent illustration of that and he was kind enough to let CNN in for a poke around the show.
No doubt he finds it hard to pick just one, but he did have this to say:
Leno says he doesn’t have a favourite — if he did then he wouldn’t have “all these cars” — but he will concede that his McLaren F1 is the first he’d save in a fire.
He bought it for $800,000; it’s now worth $12 million.
That’s a cool R171 million right there.
Anyway, let’s let the man show us around:
That’s all well and good, but we think you’re missing one pretty important set of wheels.
We’re talking about MINI, and you’ll see plenty of them whizzing around Cape Town over the summer months. Look closely and you might even see the gents from Goldfish behind the wheel, because it turns out they’re fans too.
If you’ve got your heart set on a MINI email Seth at editor@2oceansvibe.com, subject line ‘MINI me at once‘, and we’ll hook you up with a discount.
See, we do care.
