Defence barrister Saul Holt said Ms Wright had become erratic and aggressive after a night of drinking. He said: “What happened in this case is nothing like murder or manslaughter.
“It doesn’t fit.”
Honestly, this is the weirdest Tinder-gone-wrong story out there.
While 26-year-old Warriena Wright (pictured above) was on holiday in Australia for two weeks in 2014, she fell to her death after meeting up with Gable Tostee for a Tinder date.
Now, Tostee is being accused of threatening Wright so much that she believed the only way out of his 14th-floor apartment was to leave via the balcony.
On trial for murder and facing a potential life sentence if convicted, Tostee denies he had anything to do with Wright’s death. According to Sky News:
Prosecutor Glen Cash told the jury that Tostee became angry after Ms Wright threw ornamental rocks at him and hit him with a telescope.
He said Tostee choked and restrained her before locking her out of his apartment on the balcony.
The jury was told a neighbour heard Ms Wright cry “No, no, no, please let me go home”, before witnessing her falling 15 seconds later.

“It doesn’t fit.”
During the trial, the jury has heard a recording Tostee took of the two having an argument, Tostee speaking to his dad after he had left the building and cops found the body, and a number of selfies the two had taken together:
You can listen to the two recordings HERE and judge for yourself what you think might have happened.
The now 30-year-old has previously been accused of weird behaviour, and had reportedly been banned from nightclubs in the Gold Cost area for obsessively filming women while he was out.
Here’s the balcony from which Wright fell:
I guess we’ll have to wait and see how the court case pans out.
