Whenever I hear Watershed’s “Indigo Girl” I get a little tear in my eye.
The Jozi band has always had a soft spot for performing at Cape Town’s restaurants, and it’s really cool to know they are back to grace our peninsula with their sweet, sultry sounds once more.
Playing on the last day of this month, the event is sponsored by Waterkloof Wines and will take place at Newmark’s latest addition to their repertoire, Ginja, situated on the Pierhead at the V&A Waterfront.
To get you in the mood, press play and get a tissue ready.
How much do you miss South Africa’s rock era? Mmm.
If you have never heard of Ginja before, that’s because they opened their doors this month. Here’s a little bit about the restaurant:
Ginja encompasses a blend of artisanal, delicious and wholesome food that will have your taste buds craving more.
Situated just a stone throw from the water’s edge in the heart of the V&A Waterfront; the chic interior will comprise of a contemporary and trendy atmosphere coupled with picturesque views of Table Mountain.
Watershed will be playing during lunch time on Sunday 30 October, and you will get to enjoy a super-generous picnic lunch, including sun-dried tomato and basil tarts, Parma ham, gemsbok biltong pate, chocolate brownies and homemade fudge – check the full menu in the poster below.
Of course, a bottle of Waterkloof wine will be included, all at a cost of R295 per person.
For obvious reasons, booking is essential.
