Because cruising down the river Thames on a boat just isn’t going to cut it these days…
Yesterday an Australian former commercial pilot, David Mayman, set tongues wagging in London when he flew his jetpack past astounded onlookers.
To be fair to him he deserves a little attention, the designing of the jetpack having taken David and a team of engineers 10 years to get right.
Here’s the Daily Beast with a little good news:
[They are] working to make a commercial version of the device available next year. And just to be clear, this was not one of those cheesy, water-propelled “jetpacks” made famous (or infamous) by Eastbound and Down— this was an actual, jet engine-powered, honest-to-God jetpack, more like Boba Fett’s than Kenny Powers’.
I don’t appreciate it when people talk ill of Kenny Powers, but in this case, I will allow it.
