When you begin watching the Fox News segment on China, at first you may hold a little bit of hope, hope that Fox News really set out to do some decent reporting.
You know, reporting on the thoughts of a minority group, a minority group that was targeted by Trump during the presidential debate.
But no.
No no no.
The news channel sent Jesse Watters, who has a penchant for racially charged segments, to Chinatown in New York to ask locals what they thought about the election.
The first thing the “Watters’ World” segment did wrong was play an awful oriental riff as an introduction.
Tsk tsk, Fox News, tsk tsk.
But from then on it just gets worse and, although Watters speaks to people whose first language is not English, the channel is quick to poke fun at this.

As a political humorist, the Chinatown segment was intended to be a light piece, as all Watters World segments are.
My man-on-the-street interviews are meant to be taken as tongue-in-cheek and I regret if anyone found offence.
Political humourist? I don’t think he knows what that means.
