America has itself a bit of a clown problem, and we’re not talking about the man who stands a chance of becoming president.
Instead we mean the sightings of actual clowns across the country (HERE), leading some residents to threaten retaliation against anyone dressed up in such garb.
That will be scary to some, but what is scary to many Americans (and the watching world) is the Orange Menace’s rise to power. We’ve covered the presidential debate at length, but we’re always willing to see what Zapiro has penned when it comes to current affairs.
Probably the second best Trump pisstake you’ll see this week after Alec Baldwin’s Saturday Night Live efforts (HERE).
On the plus side it appears news of Trump’s 1995 tax returns going public has dented his chances of becoming president, and despite his attempts to appease the masses on Twitter many Americans aren’t buying it.
This below from Bloomberg:
Trump may have used $916 million in business losses to legally lower his federal income taxes — or avoid paying them at all from 1992 to 2010…
Most of the $916 million loss that Trump claimed for 1995 is probably derived from about $900 million in bank loans taken out in the mid- to late 1980s that he had personally guaranteed and that he used to wildly overpay for hotels, airlines, yachts, barren land and other trinkets. Trump couldn’t afford to buy any of this with his own money, he lacked the good judgment and foresight to pay the right price for almost everything he bought, and once he bought all of it, the interest payments on the loans quickly became unmanageable. Corporate bankruptcy ensued.
None of these things are hallmarks of a great business operator or dealmaker, two of the central themes that Trump, Giuliani and the rest of Trump’s supporters have gestured toward when flogging Trump’s resume and suitability to occupy the Oval Office.
Good luck trying to get a real Trump supporter to digest that information though.
If you have a moment I recommend the Washington Post piece titled ‘Finally. Someone who thinks like me’, it makes for a better understanding of the kind of people who think Trump is the messiah.
