Since the Syrian migrant issue began to take a toll on those living in Europe, a lot of focus has been on the awful behaviour of countries such as Hungary and people like Trump.

Many reporters and celebrities have taken extra care to highlight the horrid situations many of the refugees and asylum seekers are leaving, in an effort to lessen the harsh treatment they receive upon their arrival in a foreign country.

Well, Denmark has kind of missed all the attention, unless you’re talking about it being the happiest country in the world. But here’s what you might have not known about the Danes, according to The Daily Beast:

Denmark is a country where the parliament actually voted to seize certain high-value items from them to help offset the costs of their housing and health care. It is also a country where it is legal to bounce migrants and refugees out of nightclubs just for being migrants and refugees.

Now, the next step for right-wing Danes has been to hand out a refugee-repellent product, aptly named Asyl Spray.  It was distributed in the southeast port city of Haderslev last weekend by the Danskernes Parti political group, and promises to “repel refugees” in a “legal” and “effective” way.

Basically a pepper spray, the party’s leader Daniel Carlsen, 26, came up with the idea and was shocked at the negative response to it. He told CNN:

I cannot see how it is racist. Pepper spray is illegal here so we wanted to figure out a way for Danish people, in particular women, to protect themselves. It’s obviously not the ideal situation.

In the long run we want to repatriate the migrants, we want to repatriate non-Westerners in general, that is in the long run. In the short run we want to provide solutions to make life better and safer for the Danish people

Although the UN issued a statement of sheer disgust, Carlsen does not care:

We are tackling an actual problem in our society, where many Danes feel unsafe.

It is a disgrace to Denmark and Europe as a whole that an organisation like this is promoting mass immigration to Europe, and it will destroy Europe. We are not saying that migrants are all rapists, but the problem with mass migration is the mass, and because of the mass it will in time replace the indigenous people of Europe.

This isn’t the first time Denmark has been under criticism for its treatment of refugees. Last year the country placed an ad in a newspaper based in Lebanon, announcing the tightening of its laws:

Hungary, notorious for blocking refugees, also had a go when a mayor put this video on YouTube, serving as a warning to locals:

And Sweden sent a message set along to some heavy techno beat:

And you thought South Africa had some xenophobic tendencies. Yoh.
