Black Coffee began his career in 1995. Since then he has won multiple awards, including the recent BET Award for Best International Act.
AKA, on the other hand, is a fledgling in comparison.
During the early morning of Sunday, Black Coffee was filmed slapping AKA’s road manager, Tshiamo Letshwene. During the incident, you can see Black Coffee speaking to two men and his temper building to a slap.
Watch:
According to sources, the altercation happened because AKA was two hours late for his performance at 2016 DStv iRock Festival in Polokwane on Saturday night.
AKA wanted to then perform during Black Coffee’s set, and his team began soundcheck while Black Coffee’s team was on stage doing the same thing. That did not go down well with Black Coffee, resulting in the incident.
Of course, the arrogant AKA went to Twitter to share his thoughts on the matter:
In the past AKA has allegedly slapped Casper Nyovest in a club, and reportedly threw a fan’s cellphone off a balcony when they tried to take a selfie with him.
So, unsurprisingly, most of Twitter is on the side of Black Coffee, using the incredible hashtag #ThingsBlackCoffeeShouldSlap:
Oh, for the love of Twitter.
