There’s a gang in Port Elizabeth that have been targeting men who like to get it on with prostitutes, because they are really easy targets.
How it goes down is that when men hire a prostitute and take her to a guesthouse, they check in under his name.
Once the “encounter,” as TimesLive calls it, has ended and the client has left, the gang gains access and cleans out the establishment of TVs, fridges, and even beds.
Sometimes the client is robbed after leaving the premises.
The gang is believed to be behind 11 of these well-orchestrated crimes at bed and breakfasts and other accommodation establishments, and are on the run following the arrest of a suspect.
The police have been investigating the incidents for six months.
The problem is the men who hire the prostitutes are unlikely to report the incident as they will get included in the investigation, and obviously they would rather not have their name related to such a report.
Just like the guy who fell out the window of a Cape Town brothel.
