The saddest polar bear in the world is an attraction at a Chinese shopping centre.
Tourists who visit the mall take selfies with the bear – but now, more than 500 000 people have signed a petition to have the bear removed after many people noticed how often the bear is lying down and just staring.
He has now been offered a place at a wildlife centre in the UK.
The polar bear’s name is Pizza.
Although captivity is not ideal – and Pizza is not the first polar bear to be sad about it – his move to Yorkshire Wildlife Park will allow him to live in a specially created habitat for polar bears with 10 acres and two lakes.
I guess that’s better than nothing.
