I recently happened upon a discussion of Woolworth’s new Country Road advert. Released in early August, it’s awful to say the least.
You would think that they have no idea where conversation is going in the world, or they’re intent on excluding a very large target market.
You can watch it here and see which category above you fall into.
Then, a month later, the ultimate clothes-brand example advert of how to market clothes for the masses came along.
Well done, H&M, you really, really did well on this.
Check it:
How fantastic is that?
Perhaps I think that because it’s me to a T – I do what I like, when I like and how I like.
A new version of “She’s a Lady” by the Lion Babe was used and, according to AdWeek:
H&M has created a feminist anthem soundtracked by a classically misogynist song, for a spot meant to redefine how you think women should look, act and think, where they stand in society, etc.
Yup, that’s the way to go. Thanks, ladies!
