People really like ‘leaking’ emails these days, don’t they?
This time it’s the private correspondence of Colin Powell that is making waves, the former secretary of state and four-star Army general having had some interesting things to say about prominent political figures.
The site where the information was revealed is dcleaks.com, which many suspect may be of Russian origin.
Here’s the Daily Beast with the juicy details:
His criticism of Hillary Clinton, for example, reflects a skepticism [sic] that you would respect from a man who served in a Republican administration.
”Everything HRC touches she kind of screws up with hubris,” he wrote in one email.,,
Powell also had a harsh judgment of Bill Clinton, who he served under, as someone “still dicking bimbos at home”…
It’s no surprise Powell doesn’t like Trump, but he’s kept that opinion to himself. In emails though, he was absolutely blistering about the Republican presidential nominee.
“He is at 1% black voters and will drop,” Powell wrote, citing the birther campaign Trump ran as a major reason. “He takes us for idiots.”
Still dicking bimbos – sounds more like the lyrics of a Kanye song than the email of a former secretary of state.
The Telegraph with more Powell on Trump:
“There is nothing he can say that will sway black voters so he might as well say it to white folks…He can never overcome what he tried to do to Obama with his search for the birth certificate hoping to force Obama out of the Presidency. Or, demanding his school transcripts to see how he got into Harvard—(eg, affirmative action).”
In the same message, Mr Powell called Mr Trump’s claim that “within four years he would have 95 percent of blacks voting for him a schizo fantasy.”
The American presidential race – what an absolute farce.
As for everyone having their private correspondence splashed all over the internet, I guess that’s just the time we live in.
