Now, if you ask the 2ov office, I was not looking forward to watching this viral video. I’m just not into body phenomenons, whether it be bending a joint the other way, popping out eyeballs or, like below, giving birth.
But this video really is beautiful.
Earlier this month, a video of a mother delivering her newborn in water was uploaded to the interwebs. Since then, the video has gone viral, being viewed over 16 million times.
Without an ounce of fuss, the baby pops out of her womb. The relief and tears afterwards make it all the more emotional.
Watch:
According to the midwife, Lisa Marie Sanchez Oxenham, who filmed the birth, the baby’s head was already out which viewers could not see in the video. Lisa Marie then posted the video, saying it was an “incredible moment,”:
My client Audra’s beautiful second home birth. A midwife’s role is fluid, providing whatever is necessary for each individual birthing experience, although almost always that role is simply to offer the gift of quiet.
It’s weird to think that such a video would make an impact on people, but comparing it to a sterile hospital room, it looks more intimate and relaxed – no wonder Audra decided to have her second childbirth at home, too.
