Sure you feel pretty cool when you hop in your mate’s fancy wheels and go for a Sunday spin along the Atlantic Seaboard, but then Monday rolls around and it’s back to feeling like a mere mortal.
Not much of a problem for billionaire Roman Abramovich though, who still has money left over from splurging on the likes of David Luiz (again) to spend on fast cars.
The Nurburgring race track in Germany was the place to be for fans of supercars, Roman rolling out wheels worth a collective R162 million.
The Daily Mail with details:
A Ferrari FXX prototype supercar
The second Ferrari 488 GT3
A rare Pagani Zonda R racetrack vehicle
A Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3
Aston Martin Vulcan
Did that get the engines revving? Final deets from Daily Mail:
…the businessman, who is thought to be worth £8.6billion, spent the whole first day racing on the ‘Nordschleife’ (‘Northern Loop’), which is the longest section of the Nurburgring at 13 miles.
On the second day, the businessmen spent their time on the much shorter GP Strecke, which is 3.2 miles long.
During the event the Russian moguls also tested the entire range of Porsche sports cars, as well as single-seated ‘Formula-BMW’ vehicles.
Sure they look nice, but good luck finding parking in the CBD – MyCiti Bus for the win.
