Miss America 2017 Looks A Lot Like You Thought She’d Look

The U.S. just held its 95th Miss America pageant, and the latest woman to don the crown looks a little like many American beauty queens before her.

At just 21-years-old, Savvy Shields looks like the typical Miss America – but she doesn’t necessarily act the same.

Miss Arkansas 2016, Savvy claimed the title of Miss America this weekend, succeeding the outgoing Miss America Betty Cantrell. Savvy beat 51 other contestants – and it was her jazz dance ensemble that got her in the running.

During the question and answer section, she displayed the utmost diplomacy when asked about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

If you’re trying to be leader of the free world, everything you say and do matters and all of your actions are held to a higher standard. Both of the contestants have done a good job, but they also need to watch what they’re doing.

After her run as Miss America, Savvy wants to return to art school in the hopes of either working in a museum or becoming a teacher at collegiate level.

Introducing, the blonde beauty queen:

I wonder if she is a woo girl.

Miss South Carolina Rachel Wyatt was the night’s first runner-up and the second runner-up was Miss New York Camille Sims. The third runner-up was Miss Washington Alicia Cooper, and the fourth runner-up was Miss Mississippi Laura Lee Lewis.

And there you have it, 2017’s Miss America.
