When a photograph was posted online, supposedly depicting Scottish teacher Isabelle Graham, 28, her life turned around.

It was taken on prom night of 2014, and the story that accompanied it alleged that Mrs Graham went from the Carlton Highland Hotel in Edinburgh – where the prom took place – to a nearby Travelodge with a 17-year-old learner.

She allegedly spent three hours alone with him, drinking, sharing a bed and ‘repeatedly engaging in sexual activity’.

Isabelle denies the incident, claiming she is a devout Christian who had been waiting for marriage to have sex. She said she had had four glasses of wine on the night and has no recollection of events after 10:30PM, further stating that the next moment she remembered was waking up in her flat at 5AM.

She then suggested her drink must have been spiked, although blood results showed nothing.

The French teacher married last year. Her husband, Andrew Wilkie, who is training to enter the clergy, represented Isabelle in court.

After being shown the photograph, she said that although it looks like her hair, she does not recognise the boy in the picture. The photograph, below, accompanies CCTV footage of the two walking around. In it, the two make out and it has been deemed that Isabelle looks coherent.

The court case, happening in Edinburgh, continues.

Isabelle resigned from the school and is currently living in the UK. I do hope she isn’t the victim of some awful setup.
