Want to head over to east Asia, but lacking the funds after an eventful winter? Well, if you’re just going for the culinary experience, this weekend you can get it right here in Cape Town.
Cheyne Morrisby will be the guest chef at Cafe Caprice‘s August edition of the Absolut Brunch Club on Saturday.
Owner and chef at Cheyne’s Hout Bay, Cheyne will be combining a variety of cultural and culinary influences into his Pacific Rim-inspired dishes, prepared with local freshness and Asian cooking techniques.
Introducing Yum Cha.
In Cantonese Chinese, Yum Cha literally means “drink tea”, and implies drinking tea and eating dim sum – but if drinking tea might not be on your agenda, don’t stress. There will be award-winning bartenders flaring out a variety of tea infusions prepared with Absolut Vodka.
Sounds great, right? Just take a peek at the menu:
Café Caprice‘s resident DJs will also be on the decks, perfectly complimented by Cheyne’s social brunch style service – which will feature an Asian-inspired take on breakfast, lunch dishes and sweet treats.
At just R200 a head, Café Caprice advises you book ASAP. Have fun!
