Rocking the Daisies usually do a pretty decent job of landing stellar artists, and this year’s line-up is no different.
Of course everyone has their favourites, but most of the buzz is around main stage gigs by the likes of Foster The People, Mac Miller, Knife Party and Mango Groove.
There’s a good mix of local is lekker too, though, and alongside some familiar names like Prime Circle is Cape-Town based gem Red Tape Riot.
This from the Rocking The Daisies site:
Red Tape Riot has been earmarked as one of the most exciting additions to the South African music industry since forming in 2012. Over the last 4 years they have cemented themselves into the Cape Town live performance scene, and have created a loyal and steadily growing fan base.
They’ve just released their third single off their sophomore album ‘Satisfy’ – a track entitled ‘You and Me’. Go on, give it a listen…
These guys are a five piece groove-pop outfit hailing from the Mother City. John Battersby and Rubin van der Rheede are the founding members of the band, alongside Justin Levitt, Marc Klein and Jared Phillips.
Along with RTD in October, they’re also busy planning a three-month European tour taking place next year.
Enjoy that main stage chaps, let’s hope the crowd goes wild and it’s a gig to remember.
