Leave it up to a pair of indie jewellery designers to throw shade at the possible future POTUS’s daughter.
When Ivanka Trump ordered a gold ear cuff from Luxury brand Lady Grey, the co-founders of the brand were pretty stoked – stoked to take the opportunity to tell Ivanka just what it was they were thinking.
They wrote a note to include with the delivery and, before sending it, took a pic and uploaded it to Instagram:
Cheeky, hey?
When asked about it, Lady Grey spokeswoman replied:
While we were flattered to receive an order from Ivanka Trump, our social and political views couldn’t be further from those of the Trump campaign.
When we received her order, we instantly felt compelled to take the money and donate it to a few organizations that were more aligned with our ideals ― Everytown for Gun Safety, The American Immigration Council, and The Hillary Clinton Campaign.
We strongly feel that everyone and anyone can make a difference through actively supporting the causes that they believe in, no matter how big or small.
I wonder if Ivanka will ignore the massive amount of shade thrown her way and bask in the glory of the gold.
Really, she should have played it safe and gone for the professionals who charged up to 50% less for diamonds and jewellery. Yeah, guys, Diamond Jewelry International do it the proper way.
