In a dramatic effort to take the gold, Bahamian runner Shaunae Miller dived over the finish line.
Yup, she dived.
Clocking 49.44 seconds, Miller narrowly held off Allyson Felix from the States, who was on a mission to capture a record fifth gold medal in the women’s 400 metre final.
Shericka Jackson of Jamaica won the bronze in 49.85.

This is the moment I have been waiting for. I just gave it my all. I am just so happy, so grateful, such emotions I just can’t say.
