If you’re an international icon, how do you go about celebrating your 70th birthday? Well, this is one way.
To earmark yet another decade to add to its rich history, Vespa has released the Settantesimo Range – and it has just been unpacked in various outlets around South Africa.
Turning 70 in April, two limited edition models have introduced the most distinct colours yet to be seen on our streets, including the Azzurro 70, a sky blue; and Grigio 70, a chic grey.
Want to see?
Pretty sexy, hey. What else would you expect from the two-wheel legends?
Complete with a brown saddle with beige piping, a unique Settantesimo logo, and new dark wheels, it’s one birthday suit you won’t want to change.
Says Vespa’s Managing Director Andy Reid:
Vespa is timeless – it transcends generations, fashion and fads. But that doesn’t mean we can’t toast to 70 incredible years with something special.
Reid’s goal is to increase the use of Vespas on South Africa’s roads to create congestion-free cities ,”where adventure and freedom rule the commute” – and he believes that the the Settentisimo Range is the ideal way to celebrate not only the birthday of a legend, but the possibility of achieving that goal.
To date, Vespa has sold more than 18 million units worldwide and, riding into the future, Reid points out that:
70 years on the saddle and it’s just the beginning for Vespa. Our community continues to grow as more and more people are converted to the unrivalled freedom that comes with owning a Vespa. I hope more South Africans come along for the ride as we continue the journey.
We’re down, are you?
