It’s basically every mother’s worst nightmare, the fear of turning your back for a second and having someone snatch your child.
If you think it’s an unfounded fear then there’s one Jozi mother who will certainly disagree, her trip to Jozi’s Mall of the South on Tuesday causing her serious distress.
This is what Jennylee Jordan had to say, along with the video she uploaded to Facebook:
In Mall of the South yesterday (26 July 2016) a man tried to take my 2 year old daughter out of my trolley, when she noticed she didn’t know the person picking her up she immediately said mommy… that’s when I looked. At that moment this man made it seem like he was helping her sit properly in the trolley.
Which seemed like it could’ve been the case because she did stand up a few times in the trolley. My instinct told me otherwise and I went to get the camera footage this morning. My worst nightmare nearly came true… please please watch your kiddies closely in the shops…
You’ll see Jennylee browsing in the white jersey, with her child behind her in the trolley.
When it comes to parenting you don’t ever want to take any risks, but where do you guys stand on this one. Passerby trying to help a baby sit properly in the trolley, or someone trying to snatch a kid?
