When you’re forced into a government social institution, your life can become a routine of bland, despairing realities that give little or no hope for a brighter future.
But then you get those who do something to make those days seem a little lighter, a little brighter.
Since 2014 HQ has raised over R200 000, allowing the famous steakhouse to assist in a weekly food drop to people who need it the most. Every year since, HQ has held a dinner – a strictly black tie affair – in collaboration with Dare to Share, a local charity organisation which started as a birthday celebration with a difference.
Now, the two institutions would like to invite you to attend their Annual Charity Dinner. Here’s a bit more on the cause:
This event has been an immense success since it started in 2014. We have had a fantastic response from everyone who has attended, allowing us to raise almost R200 000 in 2014 and 2015 combined.
In the past, this charity event assisted with weekly food supplies to numerous families, Safe Houses, Orphanages, Children’s Hospitals, Old Age Homes as well as organised specific events such as Mandela Day, X-Mas in July (Kids Hospitals), Bread Drives, Christmas Meals for Children’s Homes, DARG, and Sock Drive.
Taking place at the famous HQ restaurant situated in Cape Town’s historic Heritage Square, you can enjoy a welcome drink, canapé and HQ’s renowned three-course steak meal. On top of that, each course is paired with a delicious glass of wine.
The event will take place on the 17 August and is a formal, black tie event. That means don your heels and cocktails dresses, suits and ties, and make sure you’re at HQ on Shortmarket Street at 7PM sharp.
Tickets are R350 per person and can be bought through Quicket – HERE.
If you need any more info on the evening, make sure to email management@hqrestaurant.co.za and check out the event HERE.
