Talk about jumping on the bandwagon.
If you’ve had your fair share of making missions to nearby ‘PokeStops’ and ‘Gyms’ while playing Pokemon Go, you might understand just how easy it is to talk to someone who you happen to notice doing the same thing.
One dating site, Project Fixup, has launched GoPokeDates – with the aim of arranging meetups between two trainers who are seeking love.
And, get this, the app uses a questionnaire to try find you the best match. Whoa.
The first date is on the house, just use the promo “POKEDATES2016” – but after that, you are going to have to cough up $20 per date. That’s R290 for one date – are you kidding me?
I would rather buy a ‘Lure’ and get all the bastards to come straight to me and then just take my pick. Stuff questionnaires.
While you can bag free dates by recommending the app to friends, let’s be real and ask ourselves how many of our friends at this age are single? That’s like maybe two extra dates, max.
Project Fixup CEO Sarah Press released a statement:
Project Fixup is known for creating tailored dates that enable people with similar interests to do something fun together in the real world. As soon as Pokemon Go launched, we knew it was a perfect fit for our users; Pokemon Go enthusiasts and new members alike.
If you’re still interested in the whole thing, just go to GoPokeDates.com and follow the instructions, as seen below.
Hopefully answering all the millions of questions they ask will get you somewhere.
Personally, I would just use my Tinder status to tell the world I want a friend to go hunt Pokemon with. But I am not on Tinder, so… hit me up if anyone’s keen. Seriously.
