Epic Timelapse Photo Of SpaceX Rocket Launching And Returning To Earth Last Night

SpaceX is on a mission, and their latest rocket landed on Earth in an upright position. It's the timelapse photographs that are all the rage though.

Watching the progress of Elon Musk’s SpaceX mission has been pretty exciting. From numerous failed missions and then slowly, but surely, successfully landing Falcon 9 (first in the sea and now for the second time on land), there’s a little bit of pride going on here.

To showcase just how extraordinary the event was, various photographers captured a still timelapse of the event, in one amazing photograph.

Launching from Cape Canaveral, Florida, SpaceX was able to bring its “first-stage booster” back to earth and even landed it upright.

#Winning.

The two images are from AP photographer John Raoux (top) and SpaceX official (below). They show the twin beams of light, one from the rocket launch on the left, and the other from its return to Earth.

Pretty spectacular, hey? The whole thing lasted about eight minutes.

This is my fav – and you can find more on reddit.
