Yesterday mourners gathered in Nice to pay their respects for the lives taken by Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, the monster driving the lorry that claimed 84 lives.
Of course no politician ever lets an opportunity to dig the knife into their opposition slip by, something the Telegraph highlighted in their round-up of yesterday’s best pictures from around the world.
First up the striking drone photo though:
A general view of the Jardin Alberter and the promenade des Anglais crowded as thousands gather to observe a minute of silence in Nice. France fell silent for the victims of the Nice truck attack, but the mourning was overshadowed by politicians tearing into each other over the massacre.
We’ll forget about those politicians, because we’re all tired of the limelight stealers, but it turns out that drone took some video footage too:
What a pity that we only tend to really pull in the same direction in the wake of tragedies such as these.
