If you haven’t heard of Mike Pence before you’ll be hearing a fair bit in the coming months, the governor of Indiana chosen as Donald Trump’s running mate for the campaign ahead.
That means that should Trump dupe the American people and win a spot in the White House, Pence will land himself the vice-presidency.
In making the big announcement Trump released a Trump / Pence logo, and many were quick to point one element out.

There’s a reason people find this so funny, and that reason would be Mike Pence’s long and storied history of homophobia. Metro with more:
During his political career…Mike Pence has actively fought against measures to protect LGBT people from discrimination.
At one point, [he] even proposed diverting crucial federal funds away from HIV treatment and prevention, and investing in traumatic ‘gay cure’ therapies instead.
He also signed the incredibly controversial ‘Religious Freedom Restoration Act‘, which gave businesses the right to discriminate against gay people on the grounds of religion.

That T and that P don’t seem to be so tightly intertwined, now do they?
That being said, with a political record that screams bigot, Trump and Pence do seem like peas in a pod.
