To have a truly great superhero you need to have a good villain.
Just look at the Batman movies – Christian Bale and Heath Ledger (or Tom Hardy) and you’ve nailed it, George Clooney and Arnold Schwarzenegger (as Mr. Freeze) and you can go home and think about what you’ve done.
So what of Marvel Comic’s latest villain MODAAK, which stands for Mental Organism Designed as America’s King? Let’s first take a look…
Hates foreigners, has tiny hands compared to the rest of his body and a scrunched up orange face with hateful eyes – I think you know where this is going.
The Telegraph reports:
The comic follows MODAAK’s defeat by a black, female Captain America, after regarding another character of colour as “foreign filth” – despite the fact they come from Waco, Texas. ..
The MODAAK threatens to “crush [Captain America] in my powerful hands”, only to be knocked out by her shield.
Here’s that hand reference:
In your tiny, powerful hands.
Here’s hoping somewhere along the line he gets the crap beaten out of him by a Mexican / Muslim superhero – sidekick combination.
