Please Enjoy The World’s Largest Diamond – 3 Billion Years Old [Video]

There's the kind of diamond you slip into a wedding ring and then there's this, an absolute monster coming out of Botswana.

If your Facebook timeline is anything like mine, it’s proposals, weddings and babies. Whatever happened to the good old days when Facebook was all about untagging the horrid drunk snaps from the weekend?

Anyway, with the proposal snaps come the ring finger pictures, everyone proudly displaying their diamonds to the world. Yeah yours is nice, but when compared to this monster it’s nothing to write home about.

Lucara Diamond Corp said the stone was found at its Karowe mine in north-central Botswana, one of the world’s most prolific diamond-producing areas.

The Type IIa diamond measures 65 millimetres by 56mm by 40mm.
