Celebrating Father’s Day is generally a lot simpler to plan than Mother’s Day, as the day comes with less expectations.
I’m not saying I’m a father and I know this, but dads are simpler to please and even the advertising says so.
In the build-up to the day, shops aren’t filled with an abundance of red roses, adverts of young women in underwear or specially-made boxes of chocolates or other kinds of precious treats.
Rather, we get sweet deals on ties and socks and biltong and beer. And then there are the adventures.
When it comes to the actual day, it’s always good to do something with your old man. Like go for lunch.
Think steak, chips, and beer. Sounds good, right? Absolutely, especially if that lunch is in the form of HQ’s speciality of salad, steak, and chips.
HQ will be open on Sunday 19 June for Father’s Day, and will be offering their iconic steak meal with a complimentary Castle Lite Draft for R198 for two.
And, to keep the mood festive, they will have 3L Castle Lite Towers on special for R250. All you need to do is pop them an email to book a table HERE.
Open from just 12h00 to 17h00 on Sunday (the only day of the week they are normally closed), sweet tunes will be performed by Loneraynger.
Competition:
If you want to win a table for four, including the delicious steak meal and a 3L Castle Lite Tower at the value of R1050, then you need to do the following:
Email henk@2oceansvibemedia.com telling us why you want to take your father to HQ for Father’s Day – we will give your entry props if you tweet @2oceansvibe and @HQCAPETOWN along with #HQFathersDay.
Winner will be notified by Tuesday 14 June.
